After witnessing a moderate success with Mirapakaya director Harish Shankar has bagged a big film with Pawan Kalyan being the hero of it. The movie is the official remake of Bollywood blockbuster Dabangg which features Salman Khan in the lead role. The movie’s success brought back Salman’s lost glory and helped him to join the top league again.

Even Pawan Kalyan who is desperately waiting to score a hit with a commercial film is now looking forward to repeat the same feat here in Tollywood with Gabbar Singh. It is learnt that director Harish Shankar has changed the script of Dabangg to suit Telugu sensibilities and Pawan’s image. This has impressed Pawan a lot and he is putting all his efforts to get the much needed hit to the duo.

Recently, the unit returned from Pollachi after wrapping up the first schedule of the film. The second schedule will begin from January 1st week onwards. Shruti Haasan is paired opposite Pawan in this mass entertainer.
